Even shows like the gadget show dumb down everything to simple product reviews.The whole of TV today in the uk is news,soaps, chat shows and reality shows. Even the science content has gone from BBc2. Why do? we have to pay a license when the BBC aren’t even providing education any more.Fuck the BBC.People learn by constant exposure to technology and we get dumb shit soaps like eastenders

    TV can come from cable (CATV), satellite, off-air, DVD rentals and internet.

    Off-air is free. Internet once you pay your internet fee can be free.

    I have off air with internet slow high speed or lite as they call since I live in the country.

    You Tube has movies though they are hard to find exact ones.

    The best I have found is http://www.stagevu.com

    A 2 hour movie is around 600 mbits. It takes me 2 hours to download and save so I can watch when I want.

    You want a digital TV with HDMI and CGA connection inputs. Old computers (desktop) have CGA connectors to the digital monitor. You route that to your TV. New laptops have HDMI which then route to your TV.

    CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC all have web sites with TV programming. Its not formatted like TV schedules but what the hell its free.
