  To compare a free internet (one without government-enforced net neutrality) to the current American cable TV system is foolish. It is net neutrality, not a free internet, that will result in a consumer-unfriendly result such as American cable TV.

  Government regulation drives the market away from satisfying the consumer and toward satisfying the government and special interests (including big “businesses”). Government regulation will result in a strange, unsatisfying tier-system or something similar on the internet.

  If net neutrality passes, in ten years everyone will be saying, “Oh, it was inevitable that the internet would turn out this way.” not inevitable. Stop net neutrality, keep the internet free, and avoid turning it into something like the current cable TV system.

  Well, correct. The FCC does regulate what goes on the radio and what is explicit. Tipper Gore, wife, was the first one to bring up what is explicit ie the "Parental Advisory Explicit Lyrics" label on many I believe "2 Live Crew" were the first ones to have a PA label. Rap and bad Nu-metal seem to be the only albums that still receive PA labels, even most metal receive PA labels because most have figured out the "Key". So what is "The Key"? The Key is that you have to be explicit to make great music. Most extreme metal such as black metal use sophisticated language instead of to the use of explicitness and profanity. I believe Carpathian Forest and Nattefrost to be the only black metal to receive PA labels. Many death metal even receive PA labels. Which leads me to my conclusion. Kids feel they are breaking some kind of rule by listening to explicit songs and many rap continue to put out explicit songs because they know kids will buy them. Either that, or they just know how not to curse. Continuous cursing and swearing sounds like the have no class in my opinion and it just makes them look uneducated. But…the FCC and Tipper Gore knows the youth listens to and will continue to buy rap so they will continue to overlook many other genres to pick up rap first. I hope I helped. – VN
